Run, jump, climb, find, solve, WIN!
What a great Challenger Week!
At Firepower, The Royal Artillery Museum, in Woolwich, SE London
Between Tuesday 6th August on Friday 9th August, lots of young people had a go on our:
Challenge Course – this obstacle course gets kids moving and solving problems at the same time. This activity develops team-working skills and gives a great sense of achievement.
Mine Field – each member of the team had to navigate safely through a mine field. This activity depends on good communication, memory and a competitive streak.
Catapult Range– the steadiest hand wins! Using traditional hand-held catapults and chickpeas as ammunition kids compete to see who will hit their target first. This activity is about listening skills, hand-eye coordination, discipline and fun.
Feedback was very positive with one parent being overhead saying that “this was the best programme of 4 hours of fun for young people, she had been to in long time”.
Thank you to everyone who came along and we are delighted that so much fun was had.
More events are being planned between Challenger Troop and Firepower, particularly during the October Half term. More information will follow nearer the time.
